Cammie Wine named recipient of the February 2026 CMH DAISY Award
Cammie Wine, RN, is the recipient of the February 2026 CMH DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses. She is a registered nurse with Citizens Memorial Hospital’s Birth Place and Mobile Integrated Healthcare at CMH.
She was nominated for the DAISY Award by a patient and her husband following their experience in labor and delivery.
“From the moment Cammie began her shift, her loving presence was immediately felt,” they wrote. “She was attentive, compassionate and created a calm environment that allowed us to focus on welcoming our child. She treated us with confidence and care that made us feel supported throughout the entire experience.”
Following delivery, complications required surgery, turning the experience into an emotional time for the family. “This is where Cammie’s excellence became extraordinary,” they wrote. “She treated it as a sacred moment, speaking with confidence and calm that steadied us when we needed it most. She remained fully present and ensured both mom and baby were cared for with compassion.”
“Cammie did more than provide care. She provided comfort, courage and calm,” they added. “She is more than deserving of the DAISY Award.”
About the DAISY Award
DAISY is an acronym for Diseases Attacking the Immune System. The DAISY Foundation established the award in memory of J. Patrick Barnes, who died at 33 of an auto-immune disease. The international award thanks nurses everywhere.
CMH started the DAISY Award program in January 2019. A CMH or Citizens Memorial Health Care Foundation nurse receives the award each month.
