In fact, in 2014 and 2010 CMH was the recipient of the Missouri Quality Award (the exact standards in the national Baldrige criteria) – the only healthcare organization in southwest Missouri to be a recipient of the award.

  • CMH was named a 2018, 2014 and 2010 Missouri Quality Award Recipient, which is modeled after the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award.
  • Davies Award of Excellence by HIMSS for innovative efforts with organizational patient electronic medical record system.
  • CMH won the 2014 “Most Wired Innovator” Award and one of the nation’s “Most Wired” hospitals and health systems by Hospitals & Health Networks. The Innovator Award is given annually to three hospitals in the nation that apply technology in new and innovative ways. CMH has been listed on the “Most Wired” list 12 consecutive years.
  • CMH was honored with an “A” Hospital Safety Score by The Leapfrog Group based on preventable medical errors, injuries accidents and infections.
  • Dynamic Dozen Award honoree by Springfield Business Journal for six consecutive years.
  • CMH was named a 2014 Business Class “Top 5” Award honoree by Springfield Business Journal. This is CMH’s second year as a Top 5 and the third year as a nominee. CMH is among 10 southwest Missouri businesses that are recognized as a model of excellence for financial performance, innovation and community involvement.
  • In November 2013 CMH Auxiliary was named Auxiliary of the Year by Missouri Association of Hospital Auxiliaries for volunteer services to the health care community for an auxiliary with 151-300 members.
  • In February 2013, CMH was named Health Care Organization of the Month by Studer Group, for the hospital’s accomplishments and improvements in patient experience.
  • 2011 Economic Impact Award winner by Springfield Business Journal.
  • In November 2014, CMH opened the Osceola Medical Center and Walk-In Clinic as well as the CMH Osceola Community Pharmacy and Osceola Rehab Clinic. The Osceola Medical Center and Walk-In Clinic, and the CMH Osceola Community Pharmacy are open seven days a week from 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. This is CMH’s third Walk-In Clinic and first retail pharmacy.
  • CMH was the leader in the Ozarks for Consumer Reports’ new hospital ratings that was reported in April 2014.
  • In February 2014, CMH started a STEMI program with 24/7 cardiology availability. The hospital will be applying for designation as a STEMI Center when the state certification begins.
  • In fall 2013, CMH established a rural health network agreement with Ellett Memorial Hospital, Appleton City. Ellett Memorial is a 12-bed critical access hospital. CMH provides numerous services including implementation and maintenance of a comprehensive electronic medical record (Meditech), patient portal, social services, referrals and transfers of patients from Ellett, radiologists reading X-rays; patient transportation (emergency and non-emergency), communications assistance, emergency services, credentialing, and quality assurance.
  • In July 2013, completed a 4,700 square foot expansion to Citizens Memorial Hospital expanding the Parkview Geriatric Wellness Unit from 10 beds to 20 beds for patients age 50 and older.
  • In 2014, CMH will begin construction of a new long-term care building for Lake Stockton Healthcare Facility that will embrace a new concept in senior living called person-centered care. The facility will be constructed next to Stockton Family Medical Center. The existing Lake Stockton Healthcare Facility will be converted to an assisted living facility.
  • Citizens Memorial Health Care Foundation purchased Bolivar Family Care Center in October 2013. The clinic has been a mainstay to the Bolivar community for more than 30 years and is the largest physician clinic in the CMH system with eight physicians and five mid-level practitioners.
  • In January 2014, CMH added Walk-In Clinic services to Dallas County Family Medical Center seven days a week from 9 a.m. – 8 p.m. This is CMH’s second Walk-In Clinic.
  • In June 2013, CMH opened the Tremain Family Hospitality House for patients undergoing cancer treatment at the Carrie J. Babb Cancer Center at CMH. Many patients travel long distances to receive their cancer treatments and often, as a result of their medical condition, are not physically able to travel multiple times per week for treatments. In addition, patients may live closer but to prevent exposure to illnesses within their families, they need a safe environment to stay.
  • In August 2014, CMH will begin building a new 28,281 square foot, $5.3 million facility for Bolivar Technical College on the CMH campus that will also house the CMH Education Department. The school offers training programs for nurses (RNs and LPNs) and other medical programs.
  • CMH is expanding the Kerry and Synda Douglas Medical Center by 80,000 square feet, and it will include four new surgical suites, new endoscopic lab, pre- and post-op area renovated, new Imaging Center that will include an MRI and PET/CT and the Women’s Center, CMH Surgical Services, CMH Wound Center, Lab, Pharmacy, Cafeteria, Information Services Department and new Physician Office Suites. The facility will be completed in December 2014.
  • In 2014, CMH will build a 14,000 square foot medical clinic that will include 7,000 square feet of space for Bolivar OB/GYN, and 7,000 square feet of space for Butterfield Park Pediatrics on the CMH campus.

  • CMH Women’s Services (Imaging Center) is accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR).
