CMH to host Tween Night In for girls on March 24
Citizens Memorial Hospital is hosting “Sip & Sparkle,” a special Tween Night In for girls ages 9 to 13 and the women who support them, including moms, grandmothers, aunts and mentors.
The free event is from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, at The Bello Venue, 1556 State Hwy. 32, Bolivar. Limited-edition 2026 T-shirts are available for $10. Space is limited, and advance registration is requested at cmhbolivar.info/26TweenNight.
This year’s theme, “Not Spilling the Tea,” focuses on trust, friendship, healthy boundaries and the power of wise words.
Katherine Davis, M.D., a pediatrician at the CMH Pediatric Clinic, will share age-appropriate insights about physical and emotional changes during adolescence.
Shantell Gamlen, a school counselor at Bolivar Intermediate School, will discuss the importance of keeping confidence, avoiding gossip, standing up for what’s right and understanding the difference between secrets that should be protected and situations where it’s important to speak up.
“This uplifting event creates a safe space to learn, laugh and grow together,” said Tara Akins, director of community relations and development at CMH. “We have fun table games for the girls to get to know each other better, and they’ll customize a journal to take home.”
