CMHCF to host 33rd annual Dog Days of Summer Festival

Citizens Memorial Healthcare Facility (CMHCF) will host its 33rd annual Dog Days of Summer Festival on Saturday, July 25, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. CMHCF is at 1218 W. Locust St. in Bolivar.

The Dog Days of Summer Festival is a family-friendly event featuring entertainment, refreshments, food trucks, crafts, a bake sale and basket drawings.

Admission is free, and all proceeds from the event benefit CMHCF residents and employee appreciation projects.

Basket drawing tickets

Purchase tickets for a chance to win one of 15 themed baskets filled with a variety of prizes. Proceeds from the Campsite Escape and Energy Tower baskets will support CMHCF employee appreciation projects. Proceeds from all other baskets will benefit the resident special projects fund. Basket prizes include gift cards, car cleaning supplies, a Blackstone griddle, a kayak and more.

Tickets are $1 for one ticket, $5 for six tickets or $10 for 13 tickets. View basket photos and descriptions and purchase tickets online. The deadline for online ticket purchases is July 22. Tickets also may be purchased at the CMHCF front office through the day of the event. Payment options include payroll deduction for CMH employees, cash or check. Winners will be drawn during the festival.
