First baby of 2026 born at Citizens Memorial Hospital

Citizens Memorial Hospital welcomed its first baby of the new year with the birth of a baby boy, Benjamin Mitchell Denney.

Benjamin was born at the CMH Birth Place at 2:04 a.m., Jan. 2, to Mitchell and Annie (Roberts) Denney of Morrisville. He weighed 8 lb. 2 oz. and measured 23 inches long. Benjamin arrived one week early and is the couple’s first child.

Grandparents are Robert and Suzie Denny of Strafford and Alan and Tammy Roberts of Bolivar.

Benjamin was delivered by Shelly Meents, M.D., who practices at CMH OB/GYN Clinic in Bolivar and was on call for Ashley Lane, D.O.
