Boehne appointed to national board for rural health advocacy
Michelle Boehne, administrative director of clinics at Citizens Memorial Hospital, has been named to the board of directors of the National Association of Rural Health Clinics. She will serve a three-year term from 2026 to 2028.
NARHC supports rural health clinics and works to ensure quality, affordable health care for patients in rural and underserved areas.
Boehne has more than 20 years of experience in clinical operations and health care administration. As an NARHC director, she will advocate for rural health clinics on behalf of patients.
“CMH has 14 rural health clinics that are vital to serving patients in our rural service area,” Boehne said. “NARHC is a critical link between rural health clinics and federal legislators and regulators. We bring real-world experience from rural clinics to policymakers.”
Rural health clinics are an important part of the nation’s health care delivery system. More than 5,700 federally certified rural health clinics provide primary care services to more than 38.7 million people in 47 states.
