Diabetes educator joins CMH
Citizens Memorial Hospital welcomes Ladonna Webb, RDN, LD, CDCES, as a registered dietitian and certified diabetes care and education specialist.
Webb brings more than 25 years of experience as a registered dietitian and 11 years of experience as a certified diabetes care and education specialist. She earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia and began her career in nutrition and food service management in the St. Louis area.
Throughout her career, Webb has worked in clinics, nutrition management and long-term care settings. During the past 11 years, she has focused on metabolic health, helping patients manage diabetes, heart disease, weight and menopause-related nutrition concerns.
Before joining CMH, Webb managed diabetes education programs at CoxHealth and Mercy. She also owns Bright Sky Nutrition, a virtual nutrition counseling business based in Springfield.
Based at the CMH Specialty Clinic in the Kerry and Synda Douglas Medical Center, Webb provides nutrition counseling and diabetes education to help patients develop healthy habits, manage chronic conditions and improve their overall health. The clinic offers individualized nutrition counseling and diabetes self-management education for people with Type 1, Type 2 and gestational diabetes.
