CMH long-term care facilities to celebrate National Long-Term Care Week
Citizens Memorial Health Care Foundation’s long-term and residential care facilities will celebrate National Long-Term Care Week May 11-17 with themed events, games and food for residents and staff.
Each of CMH’s seven facilities will celebrate all week with unique themes. This year’s national theme from the American Health Care Association is “Tapestry of Life.” CMH facilities have added their own creative ideas, including “The Grove Family Circus,” “A Sea of Fun at Butterfield,” “The 60s,” “Staycation” and “Outside Together.”
CMH long-term and residential care facilities focus on providing safe, personalized care to residents and their families. This week recognizes the important work of the staff who care for residents year-round.
During the week, staff and residents will dress up, play games and enjoy meals based on each facility’s chosen theme.
According to the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living, the annual National Long-Term Care Week observance “recognizes the important role of skilled nursing care centers in caring for our elders and individuals with disabilities. Each person in the long-term and post-acute care community contributes to improving the quality of life of all residents by providing a home away from home that allows them to have the essential connections they need to thrive.”
CMH owns and operates the following facilities: Ash Grove Healthcare Facility, Ash Grove; Butterfield Residential Care Center, Bolivar; Citizens Memorial Healthcare Facility, Bolivar; Colonial Springs Healthcare Center, Buffalo; Community Springs Healthcare Facility, El Dorado Springs; Lake Stockton Healthcare Facility, Stockton; and Parkview Health Care Facility, Bolivar.
