Community Springs Healthcare receives CMS five-star rating
Community Springs Healthcare Facility, a long-term care facility of Citizens Memorial Health Care Foundation, has received a five-star rating, the highest possible rating, from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Community Springs specializes in memory care, skilled nursing, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation and independent living.
According to cms.gov, the Five-Star Quality Rating System was created to help consumers, their families, and caregivers more easily compare nursing homes. There is an overall 5-star rating for each nursing home, and separate ratings for health inspections, staffing and quality measures. Nursing homes with 5 stars are considered to be well above average in quality.
“Our facility’s return to 5-star status is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our staff to provide the highest quality healthcare to our community,” said Vautrin Cadle, administrator of Community Springs. “Our success is not measured by these types of ratings, awards or accolades, but by happy residents, satisfied families and fulfilled, compassionate staff. However, our return to a 5-star facility lets the community know what they will find when they walk through these doors — safe, quality, compassionate care provided by an exceptional healthcare team.”
CMH operates six long-term care facilities and one residential care center in Cedar, Dallas, Greene and Polk counties. To view ratings of area long-term care facilities, visit www.medicare.gov/care-compare/.
