CMH to host Lights of Remembrance ‘Cheer-ity’ event Nov. 11
CMH Hospice's annual holiday fundraiser honors the lives of loved ones
Citizens Memorial Hospice will host its annual Lights of Remembrance event on Monday, Nov. 11, from 5:15-6:30 p.m. at the Kerry and Synda Douglas Medical Center, 1155 W. Parkview St., in Bolivar.
Hosted by CMH Hospice staff, the event will feature musical entertainment to welcome the holiday season and will present special awards to the following individuals and organizations:
- Butler Funeral Home, the CMH Hospice Light Award (inside the CMH service area),
- Midwest Cremation, the CMH Hospice Light Award (outside the CMH service area),
- Connie Duryee, the CMH Hospice Partner in Care Award, and
- Drew Alexander, the CMH Sue McCoy Hospice Service Award.
The public is invited to attend, and refreshments will be served.
The Lights of Remembrance “Cheer-ity” event honors loved ones who have passed and supports CMH Hospice’s mission of helping people live fully and comfortably while preserving their dignity in the final stages of life.
Community members are encouraged to donate to the Lights of Remembrance program in honor of friends and family or in memory of loved ones. Donations ensure that all terminally ill patients and their families in the area receive physical, emotional, spiritual and bereavement care.
CMH Hospice caregivers focus on making patients as comfortable as possible, whether at home or in a homelike setting, and the program continues to support families after the death of their loved one through its bereavement services.
