Butterfield Residential Care Center names new administrator, activities director
Butterfield Residential Care Center welcomes Ash Carrel, LNHA, as the new administrator for the facility. Carrel has been serving as the administrator in training since January 2024. She replaces Tammie Callaway, who served as the director of Butterfield for 17 years and 36 total years working for CMH. Callaway is retiring April 3.
Stacy Black joins Carrel on the leadership team at Butterfield as the new activities director.
"Replacing someone as well-respected as Tammie is a significant undertaking. We are thrilled that Ash has accepted this position. She has worked closely with both Tammie and me over the years, and we are confident that she will excel in this new role. Ash embodies CMH's core values every day. She is truly committed to serving the staff and residents of Butterfield, as well as the community," says Tim Francka, administrative director of long-term care for Citizens Memorial Health Care Foundation.
Carrel has 23 years of experience in the health care field. She served as the director of social services at Parkview Health Care Facility in Bolivar and spent 15 years as the activities director at Butterfield Residential Care Center. She holds a Bachelor of Science in gerontology and a Master of Business Administration from Missouri State University in Springfield. Carrel is a licensed nursing home administrator.
Black has previous experience in health care marketing, data coordination and as an executive assistant. Most recently, she served as the medical staff liaison at CMH. She holds a Bachelor of Science in design from Missouri State University.
Butterfield Residential Care Center is a 78-bed residential care community that offers rehabilitation services, medication assistance and daily planned activities. It is located next to Dunnegan Memorial Park. Butterfield Residential Care Center is owned and operated by Citizens Memorial Health Care Foundation in Bolivar.
