Parkview Health Care Facility announces new administrative team, Ryan Skopec named administrator
Parkview Health Care Facility announces the appointment of Ryan Skopec, LNHA, as the new administrator for the facility. He replaces longtime administrator, Tim Francka, who was promoted to administrative director of long-term care, overseeing all of Citizens Memorial Health Care Foundation’s long-term care, residential care and independent living facilities.
Joining Skopec on the leadership team are Michele Burkhart, RN, CPHQ, as the new director of nursing, and Jennifer Nelson, RN, as assistant director of nursing. Burkhart replaces Rachel Wilhite, RN, who was promoted to director of long-term care nursing operations, supporting nursing practice and operations in all CMH Foundation long-term care facilities.
Skopec has five years of health care experience including two years as an administrator at Care Initiatives, Iowa, and one year at Accura Healthcare of Lake City, Lake City, Iowa. He was previously a dietary worker at Parkview Health Care Facility. He earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Central Missouri, Warrensburg. Skopec is a licensed nursing home administrator.
Burkhart has over 25 years of health care experience. She started her career at Parkview as a nursing assistant then certified nursing assistant, and earned an associate degree in nursing from Southwest Baptist University. She continued her education, obtaining a master’s degree in nursing with a specialization in health care informatics from Aspen University. Her work experiences include health center manager, director of clinical quality, assistant director of nursing, stroke coordinator, charge nurse, and floor nurse for various health care organizations across the western United States. She returned to Bolivar in 2023 and has served as the assistant director of nursing at Parkview Health Care Facility.
Nelson has eight years of health care experience. She earned an Associate of Science in Nursing from Southwest Baptist University Mercy College, Springfield. Nelson has experience in hospital, skilled nursing and rehabilitation, hospice and behavioral health settings in health care organizations in Springfield, Missouri, and Alabama.
Parkview Health Care Facility is a 78-bed long-term skilled nursing center, including a 15-bed memory care unit. The facility offers inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services and operates nearby independent living apartments. Parkview is owned and operated by the Citizens Memorial Health Care Foundation in Bolivar.
