CMH and Bolivar Family Care Center welcome new mental health professionals to medical staff
Citizens Memorial Hospital and Bolivar Family Care Center announce the addition of Nicole Davis, licensed master social worker, and James Lowery, licensed professional counselor, to the medical staff.
Davis and Lowery are members of the school-based therapy team serving the Bolivar R-1 School District. They provide counseling and therapy services to students during regular school hours. Davis sees students at Bolivar Middle School. Lowery sees students at Bolivar High School, Bolivar Primary School and the Exceptional Pupil Cooperative in Bolivar.
Their expertise includes helping students with issues such as depression, anxiety, recent loss/grief and behavioral concerns including aggression, defiance, hyperactivity, anger outbursts, acting out sexually, cutting/suicidal ideations, substance use and bullying.
Flexible scheduling options are available for appointments with Davis and Lowery during after-school hours and the summer months. Therapy services accept most major insurance plans, and financial assistance is available. Confidentiality is strictly maintained according to state licensing regulations and HIPAA regulations.
Davis holds a bachelor’s degree in social work from Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar and a master’s in social work from Missouri State University in Springfield. Lowery earned his bachelor’s degree in pastoral studies from Central Bible College in Springfield and a master’s in counseling from the Assembly of God Theological Seminary in Springfield.
