‘Alzheimer's Disease And You: Can You Avoid It?’ is the next topic for CMH Breakfast Club on May 2
Citizens Memorial Hospital is hosting its next CMH Breakfast Club on Tuesday, May 2, 7-8 a.m., in CMH Community Room 2.
The program will feature Curtis P. Schreiber, M.D., board-certified neurologist and headache medicine specialist in practice at CMH Neurology and Headache Center and CMH Missouri Memory Center in Bolivar. He is also the principle investigator for research studies in Alzheimer's and headache medicine at CMH Research Department.
Dr. Schreiber will present "Alzheimer's disease and you: Can you avoid it? What can you do today? What is happening right now at CMH with Alzheimer's research?"
The public is invited to attend this free program. CMH Breakfast Club programs include a light breakfast and a presentation from an expert about a health and wellness topic.
According to the Alzheimer’s Association, approximately 6.7 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s and 120,000 Missourians aged 65 and older are living with Alzheimer’s disease.
About Dr. Schreiber
Dr. Schreiber has board certifications in Neurology through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and the subspecialty of Headache Medicine by the United Council for Neurologic Subspecialties. He has more than 35 years of experience as a neurologist in southwest Missouri and is the only Headache Medicine Subspecialty Diplomate in the region.
Dr. Schreiber attended medical school and completed his residency at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment for all types of neurological conditions ranging from Alzheimer's disease to neuropathy and all forms of headache.
