CMH offers telehealth program for Bolivar Schools

Citizens Memorial Hospital and Bolivar R-1 Schools are continuing their partnership to provide telehealth services for Bolivar students and staff during the school day. The Bolivar Schools Health Navigator program is available for the 2026-27 school year.

The program gives students and staff access to virtual medical appointments for acute illnesses and conditions that occur during the school day. Rather than leaving school for an appointment, students and employees can meet virtually with a medical professional from CMH Pediatric Clinic or Butterfield Park Medical Center.

A health navigator affiliated with CMH serves as the link between the school nurse, student, parent or guardian, and CMH medical professional. The navigator communicates with the parent or guardian, helps coordinate appointments and assists with the virtual visit process.

“The Health Navigator program provides an important connection between the school and healthcare,” said Michelle Boehne, administrative director of clinics at CMH. “We are pleased to continue working with Bolivar Schools to provide convenient access to care for students, employees and their families.”

Parents or guardians must provide consent for their child to participate in a virtual visit and may join the visit from home or work. The cost is $30 for visits not covered by health insurance.
