Governor appoints Jaime Renfro, DNP, FNP-C, to Missouri State Board of Nursing

Missouri Gov. Mike Kehoe appointed Jaime Renfro, DNP, FNP-C, to the Missouri State Board of Nursing on Aug. 21. Her term expires June 1, 2028.

The Missouri State Board of Nursing’s mission is to protect the public’s health and safety through regulation of nursing education, licensure and practice.

“Jaime’s appointment reflects her deep commitment to nursing excellence, patient care and professional leadership,” said Michael Calhoun, CEO and executive director of Citizens Memorial Hospital and Citizens Memorial Health Care Foundation. “Her clinical experience and service to patients in rural communities will bring an important perspective to the Missouri State Board of Nursing.”

Renfro is a nurse practitioner at CMH’s El Dorado Springs Medical Center and Walk-In Clinic. Before becoming a nurse practitioner, Renfro served in nursing leadership roles at CMH, including emergency room director and intensive care unit director.

Renfro earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice and Master of Science in Nursing from Maryville University. She also earned master’s degrees in public health and business administration from Benedictine University and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Southwest Baptist University.

She is a member of the Missouri Nurses Association, National Association of Family Nurse Practitioners and National Society of Leadership and Success.
