CMH accepting applications for Medical Excellence scholarships

The Citizens Memorial Health Care Foundation is now accepting applications for the Medical Excellence Fund scholarships through Feb. 28.

Established in 1990, the Medical Excellence Scholarship Fund provides financial assistance to individuals from the CMH service area pursuing careers in health care. To date, more than 750 students have received over $2.6 million in scholarships.

New this year, the program offers two scholarship opportunities: the Medical Excellence High School Scholarship for high school seniors and the Medical Excellence College Program for current college students.

• Medical Excellence High School Scholarship: High school seniors from the CMH service area who are interested in working in the medical field may apply for this one-time scholarship. For details on requirements, qualifying medical-related career programs, eligible high schools and the online application, visit the Medical Excellence High School Scholarship webpage.
• Medical Excellence College Program: College students accepted into a qualified degree program are eligible to apply. Applicants must reside in the CMH service area and commit to returning as a CMH employee upon completing their degree. Applications are available on the Medical Excellence College Program webpage.
