Hospital Patient Meals
Meals specific to each patient’s condition are an important part of the treatment plan and recovery. Citizens Memorial Hospital makes every effort to provide nutritious meals prepared according to the physician’s orders.
The staff serves patient meals from 6 a.m.-7:30 p.m. per dietary or patient needs and restrictions. A special test or treatment may delay a patient's meal. Whenever possible, the patient will be served after the examination or test.
Diet aides will enter the room with a menu for the current day and the next day. If a patient has trouble making menu selections, a member of the dietary department is happy to help. Patients and family members may modify or change the order on menus. Please dial ext. 6364 for assistance. If patients are on a special diet prescribed by their physician, they will receive menus tailored to their specific needs.
Nutritional Services looks for new and innovative ways to serve you better and attend to your specific dietary needs. The nursing staff will keep you informed and assist you with the ordering process.
Guest Meals
Family members or friends may buy a meal in the cafeteria and eat it in the patient's room. We also offer a guest meal delivered to the patient's room at the discounted rate of $5 per meal. Dial ext. 6364 to order a guest meal.
Public Dining Facilities
Hospital Cafeteria
Snacks and drinks are available throughout the day. Visitors are welcome to eat in the cafeteria whenever it is open. Boxed meals are available during operating hours.

6:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m. daily
- Breakfast: 6:30-9 a.m.
- Lunch: 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. (Sunday until 2 p.m. for the buffet)
- Dinner: 6-7:30 p.m.
Douglas Medical Center Deli
The Douglas Medical Center Deli is on the second floor in the Kerry and Synda Douglas Medical Center. Access the deli by using the elevators at the Main Entrance.
Breakfast, lunch, snacks and drinks are available throughout the day. Visitors are welcome to eat in the deli whenever it is open. Call 417-328-7156 for more information.

DJ Bean Coffee Bar
The DJ Bean Coffee Bar is on the first floor of the Douglas Medical Center. Coffee, tea, smoothies, specialty coffee drinks and snacks are available throughout the day. Visitors are welcome to visit DJ Bean Coffee Bar anytime it is open. Call 417-328-7116 for more information.

Catering Services
Due to construction at the hospital, the CMH Community Rooms are located on the third floor of LimeBank, 1630 S. Killingsworth Ave. in Bolivar. They are available for non-profit community events (no birthday parties, sales or alcohol are allowed). The booking fee is waived with the addition of catering services through CMH. Call 417-328-6681 to reserve a community room.
The CMH Nutritional Services staff is available to provide catering services for your special occasions such as business meetings, civic club meetings, and wedding receptions. Call the Banquet Manager at 417-328-7747 for more information.
Dietitian
Our registered dietitians oversee the special nutritional needs of our patients at CMH, both inpatient and outpatient. Should a patient need a special diet while in the hospital, the patient’s physician may order a dietetic consultation.
