Stephanie Miller, FNP-C, receives CMH DAISY Award
Stephanie Miller, FNP-C, is the recipient of the CMH DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses for November 2023. She is a family nurse practitioner at Citizens Memorial Hospital’s El Dorado Springs Medical Center and Walk-In Clinic.
She received the award in December 2023. A patient’s spouse nominated Miller for the Daisy Award.
“Stephanie has taken the time to listen to my husband’s needs and wants,” the nomination states. “My husband has severe anxiety, anger and depression. She has changed several meds to find the right ones that work for him. She did a DNA for medications to help with this. My husband is a new man. Thank you, Stephanie, for giving me my husband back!”
About the DAISY Award
DAISY is an acronym for Diseases Attacking the Immune System. The DAISY Foundation established the award in memory of J. Patrick Barnes, who died at 33 of an auto-immune disease. The international award thanks nurses everywhere.
CMH started the DAISY Award program in January 2019. A CMH or Citizens Memorial Health Care Foundation nurse receives the award each month.
