Guest Responsibilities

Our goal is to provide a restful stay for our guests. Therefore, we ask all guests to:

  • Observe quiet hours from 9 p.m. to 9 a.m. daily.
  • Be considerate of all our houseguests when spending time inside or outside the house.
  • Refrain from smoking. The Tremain Family Hospitality House is a tobacco-free facility. No tobacco use is permitted in the house, in the parking lot or surrounding the property. Tobacco use in your room, bathroom, or any other areas on the property will not be tolerated. Alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs and firearms are prohibited in or on the house property. A violation will result in your family’s immediate dismissal from the house with no re-admittance.
  • Observe safety protocols. To provide maximum security for our guests, you will be given a code to the front door of the house. Do not give the door code to anyone who is not staying in your room. Only authorized staff/volunteers may allow others to enter the building. We ask that you not let anyone into the building. Violation of this rule is grounds for your family’s immediate dismissal with no re-admittance.
  • Undergo a background screening. All registered houseguests over the age of 18 must be authorized by house management prior to arrival. They must pass a background check to be on the Hospitality House property.
  • Clean up after yourself. You are responsible for keeping your room clean and cleaning up after yourself in the kitchen and common areas. The hospital housekeeping staff will be in the house only part-time. They will do light cleaning in guest rooms and will clean the common areas.

Referral required

All guests will receive a physician’s referral. When accepted, guests may have one adult caregiver stay with them at an affordable cost of $15. The house is close to the hospital and many of our clinics. Its location makes regular and frequent patient visitation and support easier for a patient and one caregiver.
