Dialysis Center Construction

Construction began in November 2024 on the new CMH Dialysis Center. Opening is expected in late fall 2025. Facility features include:

  • 16 hemodialysis chairs, each facing the large windows offering scenic views
  • 4 patient rooms for home hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis education
  • Waiting room
  • Staff support areas
  • Water room with the latest advancements in purification and sanitization, a Dual Reverse Osmosis water treatment system with heat sanitization technology

The CMH Nephrology Clinic, which opened in September 2024 in the Douglas Medical Center, will move into the dialysis center once the building is complete.

Construction Updates

With the Dialysis Center scheduled to open in December 2025, it is showing signs of being close to completion, both inside and out.

  • Exterior brick and stone is up.
  • Parking lot poured and landscaping being placed.
  • Interior spaces with painted walls, flooring and cabinets.

The steel structure is complete! Exterior metal wall framing and the layout of interior wall framing will begin in April.

Crews started adding the steel frame in March.

Construction progress in January and February included in-ground plumbing and electrical rough-in. Other activities included backfill and rough grade, pressure testing and fine grading at the building pad.

The groundbreaking ceremony was on Nov. 7, 2024, to kick off the construction. Read more in the event news release.
