Dialysis Center Construction
Construction began in November 2024 on the new CMH Dialysis Center. Opening is expected in late fall 2025. Facility features include:
- 16 hemodialysis chairs, each facing the large windows offering scenic views
- 4 patient rooms for home hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis education
- Waiting room
- Staff support areas
- The latest technology in water purification for dialysis
The CMH Nephrology Clinic, which opened in September 2024 in the Douglas Medical Center, will move into the dialysis center once the building is complete.

- Financing: OakStar Bank in Springfield
- Architect: Pulse Design Group, Kansas City
- General contractor: JE Dunn, Springfield
Construction Updates
Construction progress in January and February included in-ground plumbing and electrical rough-in. Other activities included backfill and rough grade, pressure testing and fine grading at the building pad.
The groundbreaking ceremony was on Nov. 7, 2024, to kick off the construction. Read more in the event news release.
