CMHCF receives exercise bike donation
Citizens Memorial Healthcare Facility, a long-term care facility in Bolivar, recently received a donated recumbent exercise bike for residents to use.
“This summer, the residents asked for another bike for the gym that they could use during the day without taking away from the residents who are receiving skilled therapy,” said Ashlee Wood, activities director at CMHCF. “They voted for us to start looking at prices and buying another one.”
Soon after, Wood received a phone call from Art Woods, a CMH Auxiliary member who volunteers regularly at CMHCF.
“He asked me if I knew anyone who needed an exercise bike,” Wood said. “I told him that the residents had just asked for one! We are so grateful for Art’s continued support and generosity toward our residents.”
