Jamie Ruggles, MA, receives the May 2026 CMH TULIP Award

Jamie Ruggles, MA, received the May 2026 CMH TULIP Award. Ruggles is a medical assistant at Southside Medical Center.

Ruggles was nominated by a patient’s wife for her compassion and willingness to go above and beyond after noticing the patient was struggling with his mobility and helping him safely return home.

According to the nomination, the patient was not feeling well during an appointment with his physician. Ruggles noticed he was having difficulty walking and became concerned about how he would safely get into his home. She followed the couple home, helped him get seated and made sure he was OK.

The nominator said Ruggles’ unexpected act of kindness made a lasting impression during a stressful time.

“She will never be forgotten for her kindness,” the nominator wrote.
