CMH welcomes Jeremy Hicks, LMSW, to the school-based therapy team

Citizens Memorial Hospital, Osceola Medical Center and El Dorado Springs Medical Center welcome licensed master social worker Jeremy Hicks, LMSW, to the medical staff.

Hicks is based at Osceola Medical Center, where he provides counseling services for patients ages 8 and older.

In addition, Hicks provides school-based counseling at El Dorado Springs Public Schools through a partnership between CMH and the district. This program offers on-site counseling and therapy for students through 12th grade during regular school hours. After-school appointments are also available.

He helps students with a variety of concerns, including depression, anxiety, grief/loss, behavioral issues, including aggression, defiance, ADHD, anger issues, acting out/risky behaviors, suicidal thoughts/self-harm, substance use and bullying.

Hicks has more than 13 years of experience in social work. He previously worked for the Missouri Department of Social Services, Children’s Division, as a children’s service worker and a social services unit manager. He has also worked as a youth program specialist at the Missouri West-Central Region Workforce Development Board.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in social education from the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg and a master’s degree in social work with a clinical concentration from the University of Missouri in Columbia.
