Kurt Bravata, M.D., transitions to family practice and medical director role in Pleasant Hope
Citizens Memorial Hospital and Pleasant Hope Family Medical Center announce that Kurt Bravata, M.D., FASAM, has transitioned from Dallas County Family Medical Center to serve as a family practice provider and medical director at Pleasant Hope Family Medical Center.
In his new role, Dr. Bravata offers comprehensive family care, including treatment for chronic conditions, geriatric services, joint injections, wellness exams, immunizations and support for addiction recovery. He also continues to see patients and serve as medical director of the CMH Addiction Recovery Program in Bolivar.
Dr. Bravata is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and the American Board of Preventive Medicine in the subspecialty of Addiction Medicine. He is also a Fellow of the American Society of Addiction Medicine.
He earned his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine and completed an internship and residency in family practice and general medicine at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center in Bronx, New York. Dr. Bravata joined the CMH medical staff in August 2013.
