Emily Long, DNP, FNP-BC, joins Willard Medical Center and Walk-In Clinic
Citizens Memorial Hospital and Willard Medical Center and Walk-In Clinic announce the appointment of Emily Long, DNP, FNP-BC, to the medical staff.
Long joins Franco Aguilar, M.D., Katherine Davis, M.D., Bethany Dhondt, D.O., Magen Blades, PA-C and Stephanie Breault, FNP-BC, at Willard Medical Center and Walk-in Clinic.
She will provide care to walk-in clinic patients and treat various acute conditions including illnesses, injuries, allergies, colds, coughs, flu, minor burns, fractures, sprains, strains, minor lacerations and other urgent medical needs.
Long brings more than eight years of nursing experience to her new role, including four years as a nurse practitioner. She has worked in a variety of health care settings at CoxHealth and Mercy Springfield, including critical care, trauma and acute care surgery, and most recently in pulmonology critical care.
She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Doctor of Nursing Practice (family nurse practitioner) from Missouri State University in Springfield. Long is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
