Physician assistants are essential to providing quality health care throughout CMH’s health system.
A physician assistant provides medical care under the supervision and direction of a physician. At CMH, physician assistants are in the emergency room, family medicine clinics and walk-in clinics, providing immediate care. In our surgical specialty clinics, they support our surgeons in the operating room and the clinics.
Physician assistants play a vital role in providing care at CMH. They provide compassionate, high-quality care for our patients. They also allow us to have access to care for patients that otherwise wouldn’t have access. We have a physician shortage in the United States. Physician assistants allow us to have more providers on the care team. We can help more patients, spend more time with them and give them better care.
CMH Physician Assistants
I want to especially thank our physician assistants for the great care they provide to our patients. We couldn’t do what we do as an organization without our physician assistants. We appreciate the work they do and the way they work with high quality and compassion.
