Tommie L. Miller, LCSW, to provide school-based therapy at Exceptional Pupil Cooperative
Citizens Memorial Hospital and Dallas County Family Medical Center in Buffalo, welcome licensed clinical social worker, Tommie L. Miller, to the medical staff.
Miller joins the school-based therapy team providing on-site counseling and therapy services at area schools. She will provide counseling and mental health therapy services for students K-12th grade at the Exceptional Pupil Cooperative in Bolivar, during regular school hours as needed.
The Exceptional Pupil Cooperative provides special education services for students from 14 area school districts.
Miller has more than 21 years of clinical social work experience and her areas of specialty include depression, anxiety, recent loss/grief and behavioral issues including aggression, defiance, hyperactivity, anger outbursts, cutting/suicidal ideations, substance use and bullying.
Parents of students attending the Exceptional Pupil Cooperative will receive information about Miller and how to schedule an initial appointment for counseling services. Most major insurance plans are accepted and financial assistance is available.
Miller earned both her Bachelor of Science in communication and psychology and a Master of Social Work from Missouri State University, Springfield.
