Megan Dozier named February 2022 CMH TULIP Award winner
Megan Dozier, a patient care technician at Citizens Memorial Hospital’s Birth Place in Bolivar, was named the February 2022 CMH TULIP Award winner.
The TULIP Award was established June 2021 by CMH and Citizens Memorial Health Care Foundation and is a recognition program for outstanding nursing assistants, medical assistants and patient care technicians who assist in direct patient care.
Dozier has been a patient care technician for six years. She has worked at CMH for almost four years including one year at Parkview Health Care Facility and the last three years at CMH Birth Place. “It’s the best working environment I’ve had,” said Dozier.
She was nominated for the TULIP Award by one of her coworkers for her positive attitude, hard work and attention to details.
The nomination read, “You can often hear us nurses in the Birth Place say ‘sure wish we could clone Megan.’ She is so amazing at what she does! Her attitude is sweet 100% of the time. She never grumbles about any tasks that need to be done, and she does what needs to be done without being asked. She is always busy … when there isn’t much to do, she finds things to do. She never complains about floating, and is an absolute joy to be around!”
Dozier says it’s hard to describe what it feels like to receive this award, especially with the nomination coming from a coworker. “It is a big surprise, but a good surprise,” said Dozier. “I really enjoy the environment and the people I work with—it’s more like a family.”
