55 teams compete in 32nd annual CMH Golf Classic

Sponsors donated more than $52,000 to the CMH Medical Excellence Scholarship Fund

Fifty-five teams gathered for this year’s annual Citizens Memorial Health Care Foundation Medical Excellence Golf Classic, presented by SGC Foodservice. The tournament was held June 2 at Silo Ridge Golf and Country Club in Bolivar.

Teams of four competed to raise money for the CMH Medical Excellence Scholarship program, which provides financial aid to future health care professionals. To date the fund has provided assistance to more than 750 students.

The tournament featured two shotgun starts at 7:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Players enjoyed complimentary breakfast, lunch, snacks and Coca-Cola/Dr Pepper products at the tournament. At the end of the tournament, teams were placed into one of four flights and ranked from first to fourth.

Championship Flight

In the championship flight, the Farmasi team (Johnsen, Johnsen, Angus and Whittle) took first with a 51; Tyler Johnsen’s Mainline Fire Protection team came in second (Johnsen, Angus, Ford and Murray) with a 53; Hiland Dairy’s team of Ballowe, Derrick, Golman and Johnson finished in third with 54; and the team of Mather, Mather, Mather and Hess of Butler Funeral Home placed fourth with a 56.

A Flight

In the A flight, the team of Gonzales, Williams, Gregory and Batten of The Bank of Missouri took first place with 62; team CBIZ Retirement and Investment Services (Fischgrund, Keller, MacLaughlin and Siegfried) placed second with 63; Behrle, Brown, Cody and McCarthy grabbed third with 63; and Meyer, Miller, Cobb and Linsen shot 63 to place fourth in the flight.

B Flight

The team sponsored by Performance Foodservice-Ozarks (Louderbaugh, Holman, Wise and Thomas) led flight B with 66; followed by Lakin, Ramirez, Hendricks and Erickson in second with 66; the Dr. John Best team (Best, McClure, Penley and Myers) were third at 66; and the team sponsored by SGC Foodservice (Tynes, Adams, Nelson and Riggs) came in fourth with 66. 

C Flight

In flight C, the team sponsored by LimeBank (Henenberg, Doke, Cloyd and Cloyd) took top honors with 70; the team sponsored by Ron Miller Hardware & Specialty Sales, Inc. (Ipock, Ipock, Rue and Earl) came in second at 70; team Wilson, Martino, Anderson and Harden took third with 70; and Healthcare Triangle (Moores, Ivie, Rollins and David ) placed fourth at 70.

Next year’s CMH Medical Excellence Scholarship Golf Tournament will be held at Silo Ridge Golf and Country Club Saturday, June 1, 2023.
