CMH Foundation appoints three new board members

Citizens Memorial Health Care Foundation has appointed three new members to its Board of Directors: Craig Lehman, Drew Legan and Lou Harris, M.D. The appointments were approved during the Foundation Board's June meeting.

"Craig, Drew and Dr. Harris each care deeply about our communities and have demonstrated that through their leadership and service," said Michael Calhoun, CEO and executive director of Citizens Memorial Hospital and Citizens Memorial Health Care Foundation. "Their experience and perspective will be valuable as the Foundation continues supporting programs and services that strengthen local health care."

Craig Lehman

Craig Lehman owns the Craig Lehman Agency/Shelter Insurance in Bolivar. He and his wife, Lisa, received the 2026 Bolivar Civic Service Award in recognition of their community involvement and philanthropy.

Lehman has served in leadership roles with the Bolivar Rotary Club, Missouri Beef Days and the Bolivar FFA Advisory Board. He also serves on the Commerce Bank advisory board and has supported numerous CMH Foundation initiatives, including Medical Excellence Scholarships, the CMH Soirée and the annual Heroes for Hospice 5K/10K Run as a presenting sponsor for the past five years.

He earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in agricultural education from the University of Missouri in Columbia.

Drew Legan

Drew Legan is vice president and commercial lender at OakStar Bank in Bolivar. Before joining OakStar Bank, he worked for more than six years at Bank of Bolivar, serving as vice president and loan officer.

Legan earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and finance from Southwest Baptist University and is attending the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He serves as president of the Bolivar R-I Board of Education.

Lou Harris, M.D.

Lou Harris, M.D., is a board-certified family medicine physician at Bolivar Family Care Center and serves as chief medical information officer for Citizens Memorial Hospital. He joined the CMH medical staff in 1988 after earning his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine.

In addition to caring for patients, Dr. Harris provides physician leadership for CMH’s clinical information systems and technology initiatives. He has served on the MEDITECH Physician Advisory Committee for 10 years, is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and has served on the boards of several nonprofit organizations.

The appointments fill vacancies created earlier this year following changes in Foundation Board membership.

Other members of the Citizens Memorial Health Care Foundation Board of Directors are Janieca Hancock, president; Donald J. Babb; Trina Banner; Gary Fulbright; D. Michelle Meents, M.D.; and Michael Calhoun, ex officio.

Established in 1986, the Citizens Memorial Health Care Foundation is a nonprofit organization governed by a nine-member Board of Directors. One member also serves on the Citizens Memorial Hospital Board of Directors to provide coordination and transparency between the activities of the two boards, while the remaining eight serve independently. The Foundation supports Citizens Memorial Hospital through long-term care, home care and other programs that improve the health and well-being of the communities it serves.
