Soirée raises money for CMH Surgery Department
Donors contributed nearly $150,000 at the second annual Citizens Memorial Health Care Foundation Soirée: A Golden Hour Gala, presented by SGC Foodservice.
More than 250 guests gathered at Erickson Estate Farm, owned by Tim and Nancy Erickson, for an evening of generosity, community and hope. Proceeds benefit the Citizens Memorial Hospital Surgery Department, supporting new spaces and equipment in the hospital’s ongoing expansion and renovation.
“Thank you to everyone who joined us for a celebration of the future of health care,” said Michael Calhoun, CEO/executive director of CMH and the Citizens Memorial Health Care Foundation. “Our Surgery Department expansion will elevate the services we can provide for our rural communities. Your donations help make this possible.”
The evening featured emcee Dr. Shannon Calvert, music by Arbour Season, entertainment by illusionist Landon Swank, auctioneer David Coutchie, the national anthem performed by Paige Stevens, and carriage rides provided by Shires for Hire.
Platinum sponsors included the CMH Auxiliary, CoxHealth, JE Dunn Construction and Craig Lehman-Shelter Insurance.
“Thank you to everyone who attended, bid in the auctions and supported this important cause,” said Tara Akins, director of community relations and development. “Your generosity is greatly appreciated.”
The third annual Soirée will take place Sept. 26, 2026, at the home of John and Maria Kallenbach.
