CMH welcomes interventional cardiologist Dr. David J. Lemons
Citizens Memorial Hospital and the CMH Heart Institute Clinic welcome interventional cardiologist David J. Lemons, D.O., FSCAI, to the medical staff.
Dr. Lemons brings nearly 10 years of experience in cardiology, having practiced at Hannibal Regional Medical Group in Hannibal and most recently at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center in Palmer, Alaska. He joins a team of experienced cardiologists at the CMH Heart Institute Clinic in Bolivar, including John F. Best, M.D., FACP, FACC, FSCAI; Dishang Bhavsar, M.D., FACC, FSCAI; and Haris Riaz, M.D., FACC, FSCAI.
Dr. Lemons earned his medical degree from A.T. Still University-Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency and fellowships in cardiology and interventional cardiology at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis, Oregon.
He is board certified in internal medicine by the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine, with subspecialty certifications in cardiology and interventional cardiology.
Dr. Lemons specializes in the evaluation and treatment of adult patients through advanced interventional cardiology procedures, including diagnostic angiography, coronary angioplasty and stenting, cardiac monitoring and interpretation, transesophageal echocardiography, pericardiocentesis, Impella support, shockwave intravascular lithotripsy, coronary and rotational atherectomy, intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) therapy, pacemaker and defibrillator implantation (including leadless devices), pulmonary thrombectomy, implantable loop recorders and nuclear cardiology.
