CMH and Southside Medical Center welcome Kendra Vlieger, PMHNP-BC, to the medical staff
Citizens Memorial Hospital and Southside Medical Center announce the addition of Kendra Vlieger, PMHNP-BC, a certified psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner, to the medical staff.
Vlieger earned both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and her Master of Science in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, from Cox College in Springfield. She is certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
She brings more than six years of nursing experience and previously served as a registered nurse at Cox Health, working in the medical-surgical, medical intensive care unit (MICU) and the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) departments. Vlieger also completed her psychiatric clinical rotations with Jessica Locke, PMHNP-BC, at CMH Behavioral Health Transitional Clinic.
At Southside Medical Center, Vlieger provides mental health services for patients ages 18 and over. Her areas of expertise include the diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric disorders, medication management, and care for individuals with anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, panic disorders and other mental health concerns.
