CMH Senior Fitness Center open house is July 24

Citizens Memorial Hospital is inviting the community to an open house in celebration of the newly renamed CMH Senior Fitness Center, formerly known as the CMH Senior Health Center. The event is from 9-11 a.m. Thursday, July 24, at 1840 W. Broadway St., Bolivar.

The name change better reflects the facility’s purpose and offerings, providing free fitness memberships for adults age 55 and older who live within the hospital system’s service area. The center features cardio and strength training equipment, group fitness classes, and a supportive environment for older adults looking to stay active and independent.

“Our name may be new, but our commitment remains the same,” said Jody Pool, CMH Senior Fitness Center coordinator. “We’re here to promote healthy aging by providing a space where older adults can improve their strength, mobility and social well-being.”

The open house is free and open to the public. Attendees can tour the facility, and staff will also be available to answer questions and enroll new members.
