Primary Care
CMH has family medicine and primary care clinics in six counties north of Springfield, Missouri. Physicians and providers see patients of all ages for a variety of illnesses, injuries and ailments.
Primary care clinics offer same-day appointments. Most clinics also have walk-in care. No appointment is necessary for walk-in care, but you can use Save My Place to save your place in line. Other services available at some clinics include behavioral health and rehabilitation services.
Why should you have a primary care physician?
Family medicine physicians are often called primary care providers (PCP). A PCP is your trusted healthcare partner who promotes your overall health and well-being.
Coordination of Care
A PCP coordinates with specialists and other health care providers for complete and cohesive care.
Preventive Care
PCPs focus on preventive care, such as routine check-ups, vaccinations and screenings. By finding potential health issues early, they can help before the issues become serious problems.
Long-term Relationship
Knowing your medical history, lifestyle and preferences helps PCPs tailor their care to your specific needs.
Management of Chronic Conditions
PCPs help optimize treatment plans and monitor progress over time for chronic conditions.
Health Promotion and Education
PCPs guide healthy lifestyle choices, including diet, exercise and stress management.
Referrals to Specialized Care
Your PCP can refer you to the right specialist and coordinate your care with them.
